HOLIDAY PARTY STYLE

HOLIDAY PARTY STYLE
Hello, everyone!
Christmas holidays and New Year’s day might be only two months (and a few days)  away but I think we should consider planning our Holiday party style much earlier. So, I decided to create a series of boards to help you choose and create some holiday outfits. I am thinking of outfits and combinations  for evening celebrations and for more casual days as well.
Starting today, I am sharing with you 5 essentials wardrobe items for a holiday evening out.

Dress

Well, first of all you need a beautiful but not so fancy, dressy dress, so that you can wear it in many different occasions and different times during the day. I have chose this black and white lace dress from Self-portrait because I found it versatile and easy to style with other accessories. Plus, you can wear it day and night  with the appropriate styling.

Outerwear

If you wear a sleeveless dress, it’s December and the temperature is really low, then you definitely need outerwear. This could be a coat, a jacket or a cape as this one I have chose here. This wool-blend tweed cape is beautiful and so elegant with a high collar and bell sleeves. The most important though: it can keep you warm and you can easily wear it over your chicest dress or over any other casual outfit as a pair of pants and a sweater.

Sandals

Who doesn’t love a a good, elegant and hand-finished pair of shoes? Velvet is a must for this season, fortunately not only for clothes and therefor Gianvito Rossi created these heeled sandals in a wonderful vivid  burgundy color.

Evening bag

Well, you are wearing velvet sandals! Why don’t you keep a velvet clutch bag as well? I found this beautiful burgundy clutch while i was creating this board but I have to say I loved it right away! The cold-plated clasp closure, the inner pocket and the optional chain make it so refined and desirable. Keys, phone and lipstick will find the perfect place.

Jewelry

You are celebrating Christmas or New Year and I understand that you want to look fabulous but at the same time not too stuffed. I would suggest you to add this little extra to your holiday look by wearing only one piece of jewelry: A gold-plated cuff. This chunky cuff from Brook Brothers is one my favorites as I like jewelry pieces that are simple, polished and classy.

Here is your first outfit for your upcoming holiday celebrations. Don’t forget to complete your look with your favorite make up and hair styling.
