Traveling can be a blast, especially when you are going on a high dollar, luxurious vacation. Staying at a 5-star hotel with the richest linens, restaurants, and celebrity clientele is a dream come true for the middle-class and quite a special treat! Have you ever wondered how “regular” people afford to spend an extravagant amount of money on their hotel room or flying first class? In this article I will share some great tips on how you can find a great deal on luxury hotels.
Decide what is important to you
Many high-end luxury hotels offer an abundance of amenities but these all come at a price. Decide if you want to stay in a gorgeous hotel such as the Regent Beverly Wilshire located at the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, California or if you would be happy staying at the Beverly Hills Hotel that is down the street and not in the heart of the shopping district. Both hotels offer the possibility of celebrity clientele spottings, outstanding service, and exquisite accommodations but one is in the city and the other is in a quiet neighborhood-type atmosphere. You need to decide what is important to you before booking.
Fees and offers
When booking one of these hotels, be sure to check out their website and learn more about their fees such as but not limited to parking, wifi, and a standard resort charge. Also be sure to check and see if they have any offers for booking early or if they offer a rewards program.
Choose the season wisely
If you want to stay in a high-end hotel but money is of concern, try to go on holiday closer to the end of the season or outside of peak season. Often times luxury destinations will drop the prices substantially in the off season so that they can still sell vacancies.
Do your research and shop around various travel websites to see if you can find a great deal. While shopping you may find the same rate on various websites but one website may offer a discount on parking, free wi-fi, or a free breakfast if you book through them. While you may be paying the same price, you are still getting a discount by getting a free meal or wi-fi, or a discount on parking.
Do not assume that a high-end hotel will be worth the money. Be sure to do your research and read reviews. While travelers may give a hotel a 5-star rating on the views from the hotel, the service may be horrible. It would be quite disappointing to save your money and book a vacation at a luxury destination to find out that the service is lackluster or worse, the security is bad and your belongings could be stolen from the room.
When booking your next holiday, start searching for your accommodations early on. This will ensure that you can get a great deal on a wonderful hotel without feeling like you are rushed to make a decision.
