Hello, everyone! (This post contains affiliates)
August is one of my favorite months! The summer in Greece is at it’s best, friends and relatives come to visit us while having their holidays and most important, I celebrate my birthday every August 6th. This year I received some of my favorite birthday gifts ever (at least up to now) so I thought I would share some of them with you.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette
I have always loved eyeshadow palettes, especially palettes with many shades and this one, Modern Renaissance from ABH was in my beauty list for a few months now. My mother always asks me what i would like to get as a present, so days before my birthday there was free shipping in Cult Beauty for all the makeup collection and I thought it was a good time to order this palette and to save some money.
I have read many reviews for the palette and most of them only good things would have mentioned. Swatches also look fantastic almost everywhere I saw them, so I was quite sure I would love this one. Beside that, the colors from natural yellow to shell pink and to red stone are simply gorgeous. And never had these colors before! So, obviously, I adore this palette. I couldn’t wait to try the colors and of course I was excited to take some pictures as it is so so beautiful. Thank you mama!
Benefit kit Sunday My Prince Will Come
The Benefit kit Sunday my Prince Will Come from Benefit Cosmetics was a gift from me to me. Basically, I wanted to add some Benefit items to my makeup bag and just recently this kit and a few more arrived at Sephora, in Greece. I was coveting the pink blusher GALifornia so this kit which contains also High Beam Highlighter, Gimme Brow Gel and They’re Real tinted primer was a very good and affordable choice. The products are all from the Benefit mini collection, I paid €36,5 but it worth almost €60.
The Curated Closet
Book Depository is my favorite online bookstore and my book wishlist never ends so when my nephews asked me which book I would like to have for my birthday I chose one from my wishlist immediately: The Curated Closet. I have wanted to organize my wardrobe from the beginning of the year but never really planned it all these months. Now that summer is coming to an end and before the weather starts to change to colder days and nights, it’s the best time to build a wardrobe customized and personalized. The book is doing exactly this, helps you organize a wardrobe based on your personal taste, daily routine, your budget, etc. I hope I will read it soon and I might review it a few weeks later.
I have bought two more books this month, so okay, these books could be considered as birthday gifts as well. The first one is The Snowman by Jo Nesbo. It is the first book I read written this author and I loved it. Jo Nesbo is one of the best crime writers and the main character of the book, inspector Harry Hole is staring also in many of his famous novels. I am pretty sure next month I ll go for the first novel which introduce us to Harry’s Hole dark world. The movie with Michael Fassbender is coming this October also and looking forward to it.
The Girl Before
The second book is The Girl Before by J.P. Delaney, another one psychological thriller which I am still reading so I am not able to say whether I liked or not yet. But, until now I find it intriguing, interesting and often captivating. Every time I read a book which a contains a murder I always try to find the murderer and it turns out that he or she is the most innocent or the least expected person to be a murderer. Let’s see how this will end up finally.
I love wearing jewelry during the summer and as tassel was a hot trend lately I was looking for some earrings or necklaces. A young lady in my town creates handmade jewelry using beads, leather cords, gemstone pearls, etc. so when my good friend Maria told me that wanted to buy me some pieces for my birthday I took the chance and along with the artist I created these earrings, featuring pink tassels. They are very light and playful and I love the way they move and bling through my hair.
Well, these are my favorite birthday gifts I got this year. Which one would you like to get as a birthday gift? Do you own any of these pieces? Let us know in the comment section below.
As always, thank you for visiting and have a great day!
