MATCHING SHADES: BLUSH AND LIPSTICK

MATCHING SHADES: BLUSH AND LIPSTICK

Hello, everyone!

Have you ever found yourself matching shades on your makeup? I mean, do you ever much your blush shade with your lipstick/lip gloss shade? Well, I think we all sometimes might do so and maybe not so unintentionally. Personally, I prefer having an overall shade on my makeup be it pink or nude or peach and most of the times I like matching my blush with my lipstick. (My eyeshadows can be any shade of course). So, let’s see one of my recent matching combinations.

Max Factor Creme Puff Blusher

This blush in Seductive Pink shade is the first product I bought from Max Factor after a long time. I have always liked the quality of their products but really, I can’t remember when it was the last time I was standing in front of their beauty stand checking and trying their eyeshadows or their lipsticks. Over the last months many beauty bloggers were talking about this blush (and they talked a lot), so I thought it would be a good chance to buy something from this brand and to find out more about it by myself.

I chose this shade as it is another pink blush and I love pink blushes. It’s a nice soft pink blush but there are also a few different shades swirled in so the final result is shimmery and bright. As for the color it’s something between pink/nude and pink/peach and never exactly the same.

Modelco Super Lips Long Lasting Gloss

I got the Modelco lip gloss as part of a Lookfantastic beauty box in shade biz. Modelco is an Australian cruelty-free brand. They have collaborated with Hailey Baldwin to create this lip gloss and the whole limited collection.

The biz shade is a real nude pink lip gloss and matches perfect with the Max Factor blusher. It’s a little bit sticky as every other gloss but smells gorgeous, is very pigmented like a lipstick and last for many hours. Hydrates and pumper the lips and also make them look fuller, so that if you use it on top of other lipstick you could have a plumped-up effect.

And what about you? Which is your favorite matching shade combination? Let us know in the comment section below.

As always, thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Both look great! I personally never match my makeup… especially not my eyeshadow, even though I must admit I tend to stick with neutrals.
But I do try to keep some sort of harmony between my blush and the shade of my lipstick…

This one is really very good and not so sticky. I love also the Bellapierre lipsticks, they are matte and last all day.

This might sounds weird, but I’ve never actually used blush before! I don’t know how! I usually just do heavy eye makeup with a nude lip. I should probably take some time to explore other looks, using blush and whatnot. Thanks for the inspiration!

Yes, actually I always try to match the blush shade with the lipstick or lip gloss, sometimes I even used the lipstick to blush my cheeks. Max Factor is one of my favorites makeup brands.

Pretty flat lays! I’ve never really tried blush because I never really knew how to effectively apply it. I do think I am going to try this blush though, it’s really pretty.

Beautiful is your attire and beautiful is your blog. I love your design! And I love the colour of that Hayley Baldwin lipgloss. You have chosen a great match, really cool colours. I need to check if I can get that brand here in Spain.

I hardly use blush, but I really want to find a really good match! I think peach tones or nude browns I like, but that pink blush is very cute! X
