Who doesn’t love to buy high-end beauty and makeup products? I guess no one could say no to a new shiny lipstick or a new radiant blush in high quality and special packaging! As much I love brands as Charlotte Tilbury or Anastasia Beverly Hills I can’t always buy their products because yes, money is the issue. I love buying new makeup though, not only because I might need it but because I want to try new brands as well. Last month I reached for W7 cosmetics, a cruelty-free brand form U.K. These are my first buys from W7 so let’s see what I got.
I have an addiction to palettes! So, when I saw this beauty (which everyone says is ABH Modern Renaissance dupe) I thought I would buy it, just because! I have had already bought the ABH palette as a birthday gift, but truth to be told, I have never thought of testing or comparing them. Trying not to make any comparison then, I will only say that shades are very very close.
Now, the W7 palette consists of 14 shades. There are nudes, browns and chocolates, creams, light pinks and plumps as well as orange and maroon. I like mixing and blending shades and these ones are easily blendable. They are pigmented quite enough but it’s up to you the final look, whether you want a softer, natural look or a bold and shimmery one. The palette comes with a double-ended brush which is soft as needed and a very good quality.
I have to say that is really a good palette and whenever I use it, I am pleased with my look. Did I mention the price? Totally affordable: I bought it for only 10,50€ in Greece while in U.K. and U.S. store it might be about $12. (it’s sold out currently so I can’t provide the actual price).
The second product I got from W7 cosmetics is the Sheer Loose Powder in shade Ivory. It’s a fine smooth powder which sets makeup and creates a flawless finish. It comes with a small flat brush but I prefer using a big powder brush with loose powders. If you looking for a powder to give you a matte finish and no shimmer at all this would be a good choice. But if your skin is dry and not a bit oily, not even in your T zone, then maybe it’s not your product. I have used it only a few times so far (and mostly on very hot, humid days) because it gives me a very matte finish which might not be bad in the end, but unfortunately, dries out my skin and stays in the fine lines around my eyes. As for the price, it is $6.95/ 5,50€
Blushes is another addiction when it comes to makeup products and as every shade of pink blush is my favorite one, I wanted to try something different. I was looking for a nude blush to give me just a hint of color and the shade nude kiss is exactly what Ι had in mind. It is a powder blusher in a very natural pink nude shade, soft, smooth and with a matte finish. The packaging comes with a small mirror and a flat brush which despite the size, works perfectly as it is soft and picks only the needed amount of the product. This makes it a good choice for your travel makeup bag. The one thing I don’t like about it is the scent, a little bit intense for me. For only $4.95/5,00 € you can make it yours.
This is the last product I got from W7 cosmetics. I didn’t actually buy it, the company sent it to me as a surprise gift. (I bought all the products from the Greek company which imports them in my country) Well, besides the color brown, too dark for my brows, the pencil is very soft, the color is rich and shapes the brows easily. The brush on the other end of the pencil, it’s really tough, not suitable at all for the brows so I think I will use it as an eye pencil. It costs $4.95/ 4,00€
