Hello, everyone!

Much has been said about dreams and what they mean. From the people present, the setting, and the objects in it, everything seems to have a reason for showing up in a dream. Dreams have always been a mysterious thing. It opens up a lot of questions and makes people curious. Throwing people in the mix just makes things more interesting to decode. What could your subconscious mind be trying to tell you? Some publications have claimed that dreams occur to play out unconscious desires that you wouldn’t dare act on in reality.

If you find yourself dreaming about your ex quite a lot recently, you definitely have raised the question of why. What does it mean when you dream about your ex? Here are 4 reasons to help you figure it out

You might not want to hear it but you may actually be missing your ex-boyfriend. It may be hard to admit but you may still have feelings for your ex and want to get back together. The human subconscious has mysterious ways of processing thoughts. You dreaming about your ex may be a wish fulfillment dream of something you secretly want to happen in real life.

If you came from a bad breakup where issues weren’t resolved and you just suddenly part ways, it may haunt you in your dreams. Getting dumped is not a good experience. But it’s definitely something you can learn from if you parted ways properly. The lack of closure between two individuals often leaves a hole in your heart which is riddled with questions of what if’s and why’s. The more you think about your situation and what could’ve happened, the more you feed your subconscious to fix things for you. In which case it tries to create a favorable scene in your mind involving your ex. reasons-dream-ex

Even if you’re not actively thinking about your ex, being in a relationship you’re not happy in may trigger your subconscious to save you once more. It may cook up some dreams about your past when you were happy and satisfied. Not that you should breakup with your current partner, but it sure is a sign that you should talk to each other about your relationship. Dreams have an uncanny way of reminding us about things we should take action in. And if you’ve been dreaming a lot about a happier past, it’s probably time to do something.

It’s no big deal stalking your ex on social media. A lot of people get tempted to look into their profiles once in a while to see what they’re up to. It could because you still have feelings for them. Or it could be because you’re genuinely curious about what’s up. If you’re single, there’s no harm really. But if you’re in a relationship, careful who you’re checking online!

I don’t remember my dreams, if I do, they’ve been nightmares. Though, none of my exes have ever been in them 😀

I don’t remember most of my dreams, only if I’m hungry, then I tend to dream of food! 😀

Years ago I do remember having a dream about my ex, and it was definite related to closure and missing them. A few weeks after we broke up I had an oral surgery and was put under “twilight” anesthetic. The dreams were quite fresh in my mind when I woke, but I can’t remember them for the life of me now!

I always tend to dream about people (exes included) if they’ve popped up in my social media feeds during my final scrolls before bed. Maybe one more reason why I should power down an hour or two before I go to sleep?? 😉

Thankfully I never dream about exs! I do however dream about trains, zombies and windows a lot… 🤔 Oh, and I am always doing risk assesments in my dreams! I’m a real blast to be around when awake, I promise 😉

This is something that I have experienced very recently. Me and my partner took a short break & I’d been dreaming of him every single day. I think this is because I was forcing myself not to think of him during the day that in the night where I am unable to control my thoughts he would appear. Alternatively I like to think its because he was missing me which made me dream of him!
