Party season is here! Christmas is only a few days away but I guess, many of us, are taking seriously anything makeup related, including the festive makeup at this time of the year. As I have noted in my previous post where I was talking about the festive glow, I am not so into glittery makeup, I prefer just a little sparkle. Same goes for my eyeshadow preferences and today I am sharing a few of the products I have already started using this festive period.
First, there are two new additions from Catrice. I wanted to try liquid and metallic eyeshadows and so, I got the Catrice liquid metal cream eyeshadow in shade 020 Champagne Shower and shade 040 Brown Under. They are very creamy eyeshadows, long-lasting and very easy to apply. I love both these two shades and the natural, yet shinny finish so next time I will go shopping I will check for a pink shade.
Another new addition to my makeup bag is from the Sephora collection, the eye and face palette which I have already mentioned in my beauty-makeup gift guide. There are 9 neutral shades, matte and shimmering ones, easy to wear any time of the day. The formulation is soft and creamy. Okay, maybe they aren’t so pigmented (especially the lighter shades) but they blend very easily and most of the shades complete one another. The package contains two more blushes and one highlighter so it’s a great solution for makeup on the go as well.
My last third choice is the gorgeous Makeup Revolution X Soph Eyeshadow Palette (you can read my review here). This is one of my favorite palettes, containing 24 matte and shimmering shades. Since the day I got it I have created many different looks either morning or evening ones. But there are a few shades I haven’t used until now. The pine tree, the petrol and the festive flame are all shades which I will be using from now on (along with a few more), especially the days and nights around Christmas and New Year’s Eve. The palette is currently available, so check it out soon!
