Hello, everyone!

There is no denying the fact that spring break is the ideal time to travel, rejuvenate and replenish one’s soul. The break gives you the opportunity to be whomever you want to be and do things you otherwise wouldn’t consider doing back home. But, where can you possibly go to let your hair loose and have some fun in the sun? Here are the top 5 places to go on spring break while in college. The list is not in any particular order.places-spring-break-while-college

1. The Bahamas

We wouldn’t dare to exclude the Bahamas from the list. The Bahamas actually comprises of over 700 islands. The ones worth visiting include Nassau, Atlantis, Freeport, and Bimini. Atlantis is only a short car ride from the cruise port. Freeport features a bar-lined town square that provides the backdrop for a spring break extravaganza.

2. Key West

Key West is an island situated at the end of the Florida Keys. And, truth be told, the place is ¨Spring Break¨ ready all the year round. Therefore, if you want to act a fool without attracting attention, you should consider visiting this place. Why should you take a long flight to Mexico when Key West is only a short drive away? The night life in the area will surely light up your life.

3. Panama City beach

It wouldn’t be farfetched to state that Panama City beach is the spring break capital of the world. Why is it so highly rated? Well, the area sees lots of sun, largely benefits from the warm Gulf-of-Mexico waters, and is often visited by like-minded people just looking to enjoy life. And, while you are there, if you have time to spare, you should also consider visiting Destin beach. However, if you plan to head to Panama City beach, you should book your hotel rooms beforehand. The prices and rates skyrocket during peak season.

4. Las Vegas

It wouldn’t make any sense to exclude Las Vegas from the list. There is a good reason why it is the go-to place for Spring Break. So, what does Las Vegas offer? Well, where do we start? The place hosts the best pool parties in the world, has strip clubs by the dozens, and is filled with popular night clubs such as Marquee, Hakkasan, and XS. Of course, you can also attempt to get rich at the casinos in Las Vegas.

5. Looking for adventure instead?

If you don’t want to waste your time getting drunk like a skunk and would rather do something more meaningful, you should consider planning a travel adventure trip. If you are not comfortable with trekking alone without a guide, you should check out Kandoo Adventures. Kandoo specializes in high altitude trekking, taking weekend walkers to the world´s iconic destinations. Some of the mountains Kandoo Adventures trekked include destinations such as Mount Kilimanjaro, Everest base camp, and Machu Picchu.

My getaway this year will be a bit different – Geneva, Switzerland and Ibiza, Spain. 🙂 As long as it’s warm and there’s something fun to do I’m in. This year my fiancee happens to have a business trip to Geneva, so I’ll go with him and I found $30 flights from there to Ibiza so we’ll add a long weekend there to our trip.

Fab list of spring break locations! I definitely want to visit Las Vegas and experience The Bahamas some day. Mount Kilimanjaro would also be pretty cool – I don’t know enough about it but it would be amazing to say you’ve been there!

Great list! A lot of the options can be pricey, so it’s nice to have a list of choices. It’s also great to venture off on your own! My senior year in college I wasn’t about to pay the money to go to Cancun, so I went by myself to Nicaragua and learned how to surf instead!
