Makeup Revolution recently launched a new concealer, (Conceal & Define concealer) and it was talked all around the internet, even days before the actual launch. As I wanted to try this new product, really curious to see if everything said about it is real, I placed my order at Tam Beauty choosing a few more goodies from Makeup Revolution.
The concealer for everyone, with 18 shades ranging from fair to deep, in cool, neutral and warm undertones. I chose the shade C6, suitable for light/medium skin tones ( I am more to light but I get some tan as more sunny days are coming so I didn’t want a very light shade) and I have chosen correctly! The concealer is lightweight and blends easily but I noticed that can dry quickly once applied. The coverage, though, is really, really good and full. My face suffers from redness during the winter and when the temperature is too low, (a few red spots on my cheeks or around my nose) and the concealer managed to hide all this redness.
I also have fine lines around my eyes and when my skin gets drier the combination foundation-concealer it’s not the best for these lines. But that didn’t happen! The concealer didn’t settle around my eyes, neither I felted it heavy on my skin after long hours of wearing. It is said to be a dupe for Tarte’s Shape Tape concealer but I haven’t tried this one and I can’t make any comparison. But for its price, it’s a concealer worth to try (and not only one shade). For £4.00 you can get yours at Tam Beauty.
I picked this pretty palette because I like the easy-to-use compact products and because of its gorgeous package. It comes with a black velvet pouch which protects the palette and offers to it a vintage look. The palette contains two powders: the revolution bronzer, a neutral tone bronzer, soft and easy to blend, a shade perfect for my fair skin and the revolution glow, a champagne tone highlighter, smooth and buttery for the perfect natural glow. In this Renaissance range, there are also two eyeshadow palettes and a lipstick which comes in 26 shades and is already on my wishlist. I like the formula of both of them (bronzer and highlighter) and because of the package (perfect to carry on my bag), I think I will use this palette daily. Available at Tam Beauty here.
Many high-end brands released liquid highlighters last year but as this is the first time I wanted to get a liquid highlighter I thought I would start with an affordable one, like the Makeup Revolution. There are 10 shades available now and I have chosen Champagne and Rose Gold. Every shade is highly pigmented and can be used alone or mixed. The packaging is cute, looks luxury and comes with a pipette, while every bottle has the color of the shade which is inside. I love using the Rose Gold alone as a highlighter for a stunning glow. Champagne is more soft and delicate shade for my color skin so I mix it with my moisturizing for a fresh glowing face. I have mixed it also with one of my foundations for an impressive warmth glow.
