FOUR REASON YOU NEED TO UTILIZE EVENTS MARKETING

FOUR REASON YOU NEED TO UTILIZE EVENTS MARKETING

Hello, everyone!

Events marketing is an important way to launch a new product or bring attention to a new feature. Many businesses put on these events, which include displays, exhibits, and presentations, to promote these products to an audience of influencers. Many of them are set up by outside companies, such as Style Democracy, as they know how to put together a successful event. Why should you utilize an outside events marketing company for your next product launch? Here are four reasons.

1. IT WILL GENERATE LEADS

Companies want leads since they often become paying customers. Throwing an event, whether it’s a seminar, a presentation, or a proper launch party will bring in people who are called influencers. This is a social media term, but in this context, these influencers will entice others to buy your products. Inviting them can add to more social media followers and additional press. It’s a little like free advertising, except that the event isn’t free – for your company. It costs money to throw these events, but the results are worth it.

2. YOUR COMPANY’S BRANDING AND AWARENESS ARE AFFECTED

Often, people’s awareness of your company and its products depends largely on things like online reviews. If you’re the ones in charge of the event, then you are directly in charge of how your company and brand are perceived. Even if you hire an outside events marketing company, like Style Democracy, you’re the one calling the shots. Because of this, you need to pay close attention to every detail. The invitations, goodies bags, decorations, and guest speakers all need to adhere to how you want others to view your business.

3. AN EVENT WILL EDUCATE CUSTOMERS ABOUT YOUR PRODUCTS

Let’s set up an example. You own a skincare line that developed a product based on an entirely new ingredient. You need to tell people about this ingredient and how great it is. An event gives you a platform to do this. You can have your employees walking around answering questions, and even have an expert give a small presentation about how useful this ingredient is. Everyone there – and their followers, since some of the influencers present will send the message out on social media – will learn about your new product and that ingredient. This informs people in a very creative way.

4. IT INCREASES CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENT

You want to engage with your customers as much as possible. Nothing works quite like an event. You, the owner of the company, will be out there talking to everyone present. This sets the overall tone for your company and makes it clear that you care about your customers. Sure, you could engage them on Facebook or Instagram, but person to person discussions are much more effective.

Many things fall under the events marketing banner. You could host an online webinar, invite influencers to dinner, or even throw a launch party. Trade shows even count as events. No matter how you choose to hold these events, what matters is the fact that you’re willing to engage with your customer base.

I attend quite a few interior design fairs and events annually and always find them so inspiring. The best part is meeting people and learning about my products in person etc. Wonderful post, as always, Helene!

Interesting! I haven’t been working for event marketing though I’m very passionate to watch some technology launch events because of my work background in tech. It would be interesting to be part of the planning process and actual marketing personally! In like 10 years ago I’ve done event marketing for couple non-profits but never for anything bigger.

Yes, event marketing totally works! I used to work in the marketing department for a brand and loved doing this sort of thing. It’s one of the aspects I miss most now that I’m primarily freelancing!
