When a few weeks ago I got a shipping notification from a transfer company based in the UK, my excitement was unreal. You see, the brand which sent me the package was Pixi Beauty. Since this was my first PR package from a brand such as big and well known as Pixi, I was really impressed and impatient to receive it and find out what was all about.
My joy was really unbelievable as I received the whole new Pixi’s Pretties collection and I so much wanted to try a few products from their makeup range. The collection launched earlier this Spring, in collaboration with three influencers-Youtubers: Chloe Morello, Dulce Candy and Weylie Hoang. Thank you so much Pixi!
Pixi+Chloe Morello Chloette Palette*
If you are looking for a palette that contains all that you need for your makeup then this palette from Chloe Morello is the one to go for. Since from now on, we will go away for short or longer trips, this palette could be always on your travel bag as it contains 6 eye shades, 3 blush shades and 3 brow/liner shades. The palette Chloette, which is called Romantic Radiance and is inspired by love, is perfect for natural yet glowy looks.
I find that palette is suitable for any skin type, from fair to darker ones. The three blushes, Promise, Bouquet and Romance have powder formula, are buildable and really pigmented. They have a little shimmer also which gives a glowy, radiant finish and they are long-lasting. I love the shade Promisse because it’s so soft and the color, a pinkish peach, looks so fresh and natural on my cheeks.
The six eyeshadows now are actually three duo-eyeshadows. The shades vary from beige and cold (Veil-Honeymoon) to warmer shades (Fairytale-Passion) to brown and copper (Lace-Swoon). The first two shades (Veil-Honeymoon) can be used as a highlighter as well but definitely, all the shades are very wearable and quite pigmented. They also blend very easily and there isn’t any fallout. With only six shades you can create several combinations and many different looks, either for every day looks or for a more intense evening and night-out looks.
The last trio in this palette is the brow-liner trio with the shades Knot, Unity and Tux. These shades are perfect to create a darker liner on the eyes but they work very well on the brows as well, as they can be mixed in order to offer the preferred eyebrow shade. The first lighter shade is not so pigmented compared to the other two but all of them are buildable.
The palette comes with a thin mirror on the right side. Not the ideal mirror size to use for your makeup but it definitely adds points to this multi-use and travel style palette.
Pixi+Chloe Morello Lip Icing Lip Glow*
Such a great lip-gloss this is! It’s a smooth lip gloss which easily slides on the lips and doesn’t stick at all. The shade is golden peach with flecks of glitter inside which gives a bright, glossy finish. Every time I wear it I feel my lips hydrated and somehow plumbed, almost like when I am wearing a plumb lip-gloss. Its formula is soft and lightweight, I don’t feel it in my lips, it’s really comfortable. This lip-gloss can be worn either alone or on top of any other relevant shade and in that case last really long.
Pixi+Dulce Candy Cafe con Dulce Palette*
This is actually a highlighter palette which contains nine different versatile shades but most of the shades are suitable for eyeshadows or blushes as well. The first three lighter shades, Brilliant, Dulce and Caramelo, look wonderful on my fair skin, they work perfect as golden or champagne highlighter. The next three pink shades, Pirulli, Pan Dulce and Estrella, are suitable to be used as a highlighter or as blushes or even on the top of my blush to give all the shine and brightness that my skin might needs. As for the last three darker shades, Bon Bon, Tamarindo and Morenita, I think they are perfect for medium to dark skin tones and that’s why I use them as eyeshadows. All the shades are very soft, powder to cream formula and super pigmented. They also blend easily leaving nothing but a natural glow on my face.
Pixi+Dulce Candy Dulce’s Lip Candy Palette*
This second palette from Dulce Candy is as sweet as its name! Contains nine lip shades which apply easily and smoothly and can be used on cheeks as well. Its creamy formula is very blendable and long lasting and as it contains antioxidants and minerals hydrates and nourishes the lips and cheeks also. The shades vary from nude and blushing pink to berry and mauve, they are pigmented and comfortable on the lips and I am sure everyone will find its flattering shade, no matter what the tone of its skin. I am not so into this kind of palettes but I will definitely use it as there are so many beautiful shades. Especially the nude and mauve ones will be the first I will try alone or even mixed.
Pixi+Weylie Hoang Dimensional Eye Creator Kit*
This is the 3rd Pixi’s collaboration with the Youtuber Weylie Hoang! The kit consists of an eyeshadow palette and a Dual Ended Eyeliner. The palette contains six beautiful warm shades, shimmer and mattes, pigmented and buildable, perfect to create either natural or more dramatic looks as all the shades work so easy together. Its formula is creamy and so easy blending! With the dual black liner you can define or add dimension to your eyes: with the twistable kohl liner you can create a smokey intense look and with the liquid felt tip liner you can create dimensional eyes with perfect winged liner. Both kohl and liner give an amazing black color with great longevity.
