FIVE DIFFERENT BUDGET PRIMERS

FIVE DIFFERENT BUDGET PRIMERS

five-different-budget-primers

Hello, everyone!

Primers can make a big difference to any makeup and don’t always have to be expensive. Finding the right budget primer for your face, depending on your skin tone and mostly on your skin type, it’s not so hard anymore. There are so many options out there and besides the high-end products, there are also affordable primers which can work very well with different types of foundations. So today, I thought I would share with you a few budget primers I have already in my collection. Some of them I am using for years while others are recent purchases and still on test.five-different-budget-primers

Sephora Collection Combleur Pores & Ridules

This is one of the first primers I have tried, as for a long time I didn’t want to use any primer at all, because of my dry skin. Eventually, and having seen how well my foundation performs with the primer on, I started trying and using more of them. Well, the first impression was a determining one. The primer is silicone-based and has a blurring effect. Targets and blurs pores, fine lines and imperfections and gives a matte powder finish without drying out my skin. It has a peach almost beige tone which instantly becomes one with my skin tone, creating that way, the canvas to apply my foundation and the rest of my makeup. Price: €13.10

The Ordinary High-Adherence Silicone Primer

Another one silicone-based primer which works almost exactly as the previous one. Last year, when The ordinary products in general, were the talk of the town, I wanted to try both of the two primers from that brand. I got this one first knowing that contains adaptive silicones but surprise, surprise, the finish is matte yet also hydrating and suitable for my dry skin. My skin looks smooth and the foundation slides and applies easily. I have tried it with many foundations also and I have found out that makes the best combination of the non-matte foundations. Considering that is vegan and cruelty-free and costs only €4.90/£3.90, it’s a primer I would re-purchase for sure.

Sephora Beauty Amplifier Perfecting Glow Primer

I love how bright, evened and glowing my skin looks every time I wear this primer. For all these days or nights and special occasions that I need a glowy, smooth and flawless face I always turn to this one. The primer contains skincare ingredients that hydrate the face, blurs imperfections and highlights the radiance of the skin. Thanks to its unique mineral pigments that break open upon application, the primer releases a nude color that adapts to the skin’s natural tone. Its lightweight formula gives an ethereal glow on my skin and creates the perfect, natural base to create my makeup which by the way, can last for hours. Price: €13.10

Revolution Pro Correcting Primer – Anti Redness – Green

Revolution Pro recently launched five new colored primers and each one them targets different skin concerns. Because of the redness at some points of my face, I chose this one first, as its main purpose is to balance and erase any redness in the complexion. The primer comes in a minimal mint tube, just exactly as the color of the product. The formula is a little watery so I need to pressure the tube carefully otherwise a lot of product comes out at once. Anyway, the primer works exactly as I expected to and neutralise the redness around my nose and on my cheeks. Its a new addition and I have used it only a few times until now but I like it a lot as it leaves my face smooth and hydrated also, essential things for my dry skin. Price: €7.99

Revolution Pro Correcting Primer – Radiant Cool Pink

The second primer I got from Revolution’s Pro range in order to use along with the green one is the radiant cool pink primer.  I use it combined with the anti-redness primer, at these points without redness. The product is pink (in a pink tube this time) watery and lightweight. Blends easily, it’s long-lasting and most important doesn’t dry out my skin. My face looks brighter and illuminated, yet natural and fresh. I have tested it only with one of my foundations so far and it’s very comfortable, but I will test it further to make the final conclusion. In a few words, an easy to apply and blend primer, perfect for a healthy glowing skin! Price: €7.99

My favourite of all time was the L’oreal studio secrets resurfacing primer, although that’s more of an occasion one so I haven’t worn that a lot. Currently, I’m just inbetween trying new primers/skincare mix to find the right one for me x

I love primers especially for my eyes. i have not yet tried all over my face. I like that there are correcting ones if you have some problem areas, that could be very helpful.

  20. May 23, 2018 / 1:53 pm

Even I never used primers earlier but slowly I got in to using them. I like the ones that are oil absorbing. I need to try the Sephora one. Ordinary is a brand that I still have not tried. Their products are so well priced. I will be checking the Sephora one in July for sure. 🙂 Loved this primer round up post. I just love love love your photos so much.

That’s really great! There are so many different colored primers options!

  22. June 15, 2018 / 5:02 am

Budget is definitely my style! The only primer I’ve ever used comes from when I used to work at a warehouse that distributed a few makeup brands. Any time there was a quality assessment, we could keep the ones that were opened since we couldn’t sell them.

    • June 17, 2018 / 11:05 pm

Great way to have some free beauty products!

  23. June 15, 2018 / 5:46 am
