Do you like rice? No matter what your answer would be, I am pretty sure you are gonna love rice after reading all about this cleansing-toning duo. I am talking of course about The Face Shop’s Rice Water Bright Cleansing Foam and The Face Shop’s Rice and Ceramide Moisture Toner, both from Althea Korea. I have recently added both products to my evening cleansing routine and I couldn’t be more satisfied with my choice.
The very first thing I need from a cleansing foam is to feel my skin moisturised after cleansing it by minimizing the moisture loss as much as possible. Especially in the evening the more hydrated is my face, the better I feel it. This cleansing foam is infused with rice water and Moringa flower oil. The rice water with its vitamins and minerals, detoxifies, nourish the skin and helps to soften and brighten it as well. The Moringa flower oil offers that extra needed moisture and although my skin is purified and cleaned yet is soft and hydrated.
The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Cleansing Foam is a rich, creamy foam, so I use a small amount of it. I wet my face with warm water, I create lather in my palms and after rubbing my hands together to spread the cleanser onto my hands, I gently massage my face with circular motions. Although the foam is very rich it rinses off easy and quickly. As for the scent, it’s a delicate and clean smelling, like an expensive powder.
That is a toner thicker than most toners, feels like an essence yet it’s lightweight and not sticky at all. It’s enriched with rice extracts that smooth and give to the skin intense hydration. It is enriched also with ceramide extracts which create a barrier to prevent dryness. That way, the skin remains moisturized, soft and supple.
The bottle is sturdy and as it doesn’t have a pump dispenser (I think it should have one because it’s so hard to squeeze) I use a cotton pad to apply it on my face. It absorbs quickly and smells amazing. Has a floral subtle scent, like a fresh and clean powder mist.
